Roasted Brussels Sprouts



As of late I have been craving green vegetables all day.  This recipe is the easiest and tastiest way for me to fullfil that craving.  


It literally takes minimal effort, cooks super quick and tastes great.


What you'll need


• Brussels sprouts (I normally get mine out of the garden, which makes you realize you have never really had a brussels sprout unless you've had one fresh off the vine, but Trader Joe's has them in microwavable sacks that are ready to cook).
• Olive Oil
• Salt
• Pepper


Directions


• Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.  While it's heating up, cut the sprouts into quarters (depending on how large they are, if they are smaller halves work).




• Toss the chopped sprouts into a baking dish, drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
• Cook in the oven for about 10 minutes.  I like mine browned and soft so I usually leave them in for about 12 minutes.  You can cook them more or less, depending on your preference.  Just watch them, because they cook faster than you would think.
• Garnish with chopped parsley if you are serving it and want it to look all pretty.


And voila and easy vegetable side dish for any meal or just to snack on.
