Holiday Inspirations

While planning the food for our second annual white elephant Christmas party, I've come across a ton of fun holiday inspirations that I figured I'd share.

Most of these are great DIY projects.

1// Fun cups to serve drinks in at your Xmas party - paint a mason jar a festive gold.

2// Glitter topper - get dollar store Xmas themed toys and decorative fruits and glitter bomb them!

3// Shooting stars - Rim your glasses with edible gold stars for an extra festive feel

4// Creative treats - I love a holiday themed menu, but when it gets too kitschy and covered in frosting and bold colors, it's just not my cup of tea. I prefer a simpler twist. Try reindeer cookies with simple spotted backs. Try something that is not the usual. A chocolate chestnut roulade would impress guests and taste great. Or how about a simple gold plated cake? Austere, elegant and very festive. If you can figure out how to do that one, do share!

I love this time of year. All the fun parties and decorating.

Happy November!
