Out & About on Small Business Saturday

There is nothing like the joy that fills the air the weekend after Thanksgiving, when everyone's holiday spirit is at it's all time high. I'm not sure what it's about, it seems higher to me this year than any other. Maybe it's because I'm done with school and not scraping in a library to finish the last two weeks of the quarter, so I am able to take it all in and notice all the people walking the streets, gathering at tree lightings and frequenting the local shops on small business Saturday.

At any rate, we had a happy Saturday around town, frequenting all the Tacoma spots. It's sort of our anti-Black Friday if you will.

We were passing some time before going to see Lincoln at a local, independent theater. The movie has been so popular that it took us two attempts to see it. We ended up having to buy our tickets online and get to the theater just early enough to get seats right up in the front row.

My sister and I checked out some vintage furs and coats at Glenna's, the most awesome vintage boutique in town.

We also grabbed cheese croissants before the movie at my favorite bakery

I hope you've been having a wonderful weekend and spent some time supporting your local businesses this fine Saturday.
