Wrapping Paper DIY

This post does not teach you how to make paper, or weave silk for your ribbons, or make glitter from magical ferry dust, so don't get too hyped by the "DIY" bit in the title.

It's for those of us who want to have a little fun, but not get too rowdy.

I love butcher paper (or as the lady at Michael's who gave me a judgmental glare called it "craft paper"). I think the very dull, lackluster of it pairs well with some wild glitter ribbon. Moreover, it is a playground for stamping!

So let's style our own wrapping paper, shall we.

What you'll need

- Beige craft paper
- Glittery ribbons galore
- Ink or paint (I chose white, but feel free to be more creative)
- Stamps (this does not mean real stamps like I chose. You could go for cutting fruits into interesting shapes, using leaves, circular objects, etc.)

The next bit is pretty self explanatory. Stamp that paper, let it dry, wrap your present with it (I measured and cut out the paper before stamping it), decorate with the appropriate ribbons and bows, ad your name tag and voila!

  1. What a fun tutorial! I love how creative you can get with simple brown paper - the possibilities are endless!
