Handmade #2

This skirt is another piece in the shop that was hand sewn by yours truly. It is by far my favorite. Check it out here.

It has a timeless cut and pattern that reminds me a lot of Natalie Wood in the 1964 film Sex and the Single Girl. It's a great comedy, if you haven't watched it, I urge you to!

Wouldn't you agree that it has the same feel?

Her office in the film is also beautifully decorated in a black and white theme.

So this skirt is my Natalie Wood skirt. You can dress it up, with stilettos and a beautiful blouse or dress it down, with an Indiana Jones-esque hat and some booties. Either way, definitely a wardrobe staple.

My favorite part of the skirt is it's beautiful fabric (and I don't simply mean the timeless houndstooth pattern). It is an amazing 100% wool. I have a good fabric fetish. Nothing turns me on like an expensive piece of wool.
