Fenced In

Isn't that fence gorgeous?! At some point in my life, I'm going to need a fence, and I want it to look just like this one. The end.

This is one of my more 'young hipster' outfits. You know, tights and shorts, it's not one of those things I usually do. "Why not branch out?" I thought. So branch out I did, and paired some tights with high waist shorts. Tights, that would make the Green Goblin envious.

I wish they were more opaque. I wanted forest green legs. Honestly, these tights made me think of how weird it would be if people had green skin.

I've had these shorts for years. I enjoy them, but it's a love/hate relationship. For one, their waist is this unreal/why?! high waistband. Like right under my boobs kind of high. Which isn't really cute, so I fold it down. Which means I have to hide the belt loops under the fold. This also means I have to wear tops that are loose so people don't think I am not very sharp, when they notice the tag in the back. But if I do want to wear a fitted shirt, I usually put a belt over the waist band, to hide the tag. Furthermore, the fabric is thick, but wrinkles very easily. I am one of those people that goes crazy in the sight of wrinkled clothes. For that reason, these shorts test my nerves. But what I love about them is their loose fit, it makes them really comfortable.

What I'm wearing - shirt: vintage thrifted, shorts: dolce vita, tights: dkny (Nordstrom rack, woot!), shoes/earrings: forever21

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

  2. I too am a lover of a high waist. And a good fence. Just finished erecting our very own in our new home/garden. Super satisfying to look at now...anyways love this look. Have you thought of cutting out said label...et voile! no more tag worries xxx

    1. The label is flat against the material, I'd have to use a seam ripper to get it off, which is absolutely doable! That would solve my problem of course, haha. Thank you for the suggestion!
