Sister Style: Butterflies & Plaid Please

My sister is a huge part of my life. We are like twins (I'm a year and eleven months older than her). Our style is very similar, we wear the same size and we love fashion. Basically, between the two of us, we have one huge closet to work with.

Inspired by the A Beautiful Mess sisters, I decided it would be fun to do a "Sister Style" series.

Here's the first of the series!

Today I decided this plaid dress I made last year (and finished only a couple days ago) needed to have it's moment in the spotlight.

I made it while I was pregnant, so it's a huge tent style. The fabric is from the late 70's from my great grandmother. I love it because it's so bold and fashionable for a plaid.

The dress is incredibly comfortable. Think loose dress + flannel jammies. Yes please.

What I'm wearing - dress: hand sewn by yours truly, vintage fabric // tights: comando // boots: zara // belt: vintage, thrifted // lipstick: revlon "fire & ice"

We (Abby included) shot down by the Titlow Lodge. It's an awesome old cabin.

It was super fun having Lana there with us. You may recognize her from my Etsy shop, she's the best!

We tried doing some jumping shots, they are pretty comical. I take my jumping self way too seriously.

What she's wearing: blouse: target // earrings: asos // trousers: american apparel // shoes: gucci

And some dancing:
