Sister Style: Channeling Frieda Kahlo

Today we decided to have some fun and really dress up for our photo shoot.

I got this skirt a while back (sometime in the fall). The buttons needed to be adjusted as the skirt was a bit big, but I was so in love with the fabric, I just couldn't pass it up.

The awesome floral headdress on Lana is her own creation. She's debating opening an Etsy shop to sell them, which I obviously think is a great idea. I'm encouraging her, so stay tuned for that.

That talented little sissy of mine!

As most of you know, I've been braid obsessed for some time. My life goal is to crown braid my hair. Aside from the fact that my hair is still not quite long enough, I'm also not very talented in the crown braiding arena. So the easiest way to make up for that is doing a milkmaid do. Much easier and just as cute.

What I'm wearing - skirt: 1960's vintage // top: american apparel // heels: forever21 // earrings: 1960's vintage (sold here)

What she's wearing - skirt: nordstrom // blouse: she handmade it // heels: gucci // bracelets: vintage (from Lady Go Lightly Vintage) // earrings: vintage // floral headpiece: she handmade this as well

Check out other "Sister Style" shoots here.

    Beautiful pictures as always. :)
