Red, White & Blue can be French Too

Obviously striped tops are French. I'm a serious Francophile here, I wear berets and stripes while I eat croissants, all day long. Yup, that's me dancing to Edith Piaf as I think about the Eiffel Tower.

But seriously, this outfit is an example of simple, quick, motherhood induced "dressing like you care". In case you missed the post on quick and easy mommy styling tips, press here.

Statement necklaces, red lips, bold shoes, blah blah blah. Let's face it, at the end of the day an outfit post is all about the jumping. How high can you fly?!

Inspired by Dana at Do The Hotpants, I decided to whip it real good, myself.

Trying to control post-whip, rain frizzed up hair.

But that's ok, it's the weekend. THE LONG WEEKEND! Not that I have a job that requires me to have a work week? But still, weekends are the best.

What I'm wearing - shirt: who knows, it's older than your mom // jeans: f21 // necklace: tj maxx // shoes: manolo blahnik // lip color: revlon "cherries in the snow"

And while we're all excited about the long weekend, the nearness of summer, freedom and all things French, I felt the need to share this blurry picture because I look skinny! Yup, at the end of the day, I'm pretty shallow. But to be quite honest, I'm only really excited because I had a whopper of a beer belly this time last year. And what a little gem that beer belly did provide us.
