Why Not?

The military inspired jacket has been one of my favorite pieces for the past several years. I remember when I decided I wanted one. I was sitting in the Nordstrom shoe department three years ago, trying on a sandal of some sort. It was in that lull between talking to the shoe salesman and waiting for him to bring out my selections, that I dozed into this fashion dream and imagined myself with a fresh green, seasonally ambiguous, military inspired jacket, a white tee, skinny jeans and glam heels. I excused myself from shoe shopping and ran upstairs to scour BP (because I knew such a short notice purchase would need not be expensive and irrational). Fast forward three years, I still wear that jacket, which probably means an upgrade would be a rational decision.

To me keeping it casual and simple is essential, but adding that one "glam" element takes it to that fashionable place (whether that's a pair of sparkling earrings, a statement necklace or bold studded heels). This outfit goes from "comfy Saturday afternoon" to an evening out with one quick shoe change.

  1. I love the jacket! I still have my Barbour jacket from 2 years ago and I can't see myself ever getting rid of it!
Love your blog, so glad to have found it! xx
