I call this skirt my Frieda Kahlo piece. It's dramatic, colorful and hippie-ish and bohemian in a South American beauty kind of way (not a wispy, blond, beach girl).
I found myself pairing it with cropped tops in the summer, but thinking that it was in fact too thick for the warmer months (it is thoroughly lined). As the cold front has been coming in I decided to pair it with a warm turtle neck, ankle boots and a felt hat. I like the way it turned out.
What I'm wearing - skirt: vintage // turtle neck: the gap // hat: f21 // boots: zara

If you're into dramatic hats as much as I am, here are a few of my favorites (surprisingly enough they are all pretty affordable. Last year when I had a huge crush on the wide brimmed hat, I could find a single one under $300):
that skirt is amazing.
