A Valentine's Day Party

I love Valentine's Day. It's girly and all about love. Most of all, it's the perfect opportunity to throw a party, my favorite activity. What's there to hate?

When hosting said party, I like to focus on the details, from the cake frosting and personalizing favor bags to sending intricate invitations to guests. It all adds a personal touch.

Tiny Prints was kind enough to send us these adorable invitations and gift tags and I loved their style so much I thought I would echo it throughout the party decor. The one time of the year when you can get away with pairing red and pink should be taken full advantage of, in my opinion.

Here are some tips for hosting your very own smashing love fest:

1// Decide on a theme and go with it. Don't be afraid to enforce a dress (color) code either.

2// Valentine's Day is about love and love is about decadence and giving in to your desires. Why not try a dessert only menu?

3// Focus on the littlest of details. How about add a touch of color with an ombre cake? Maybe toss some red pom poms all over the place (they even stick in your hair, go for it). Heart shaped hair accessories and thematically planned foods.

4// Most importantly, have a good time and document the fun for future inspiration.
