Broadway Farmers Market

Last Thursday was the first day of our local farmers market and what a beautiful day for that. It was sunny and running into the high 70s by 10 a.m.

As the summer goes on the market just gets better (ahem, berries), but it was a great first day of the season.

Terry's Berries is one of my favorite booths at the market. They always have the best selection of organic produce, not to mention the prettiest displays.

All the flowers make me so happy. I love having vases of pretty blooms in the house all summer long. And it just gets better, I am itching for dahlias and sunflowers.

The local eats are always a highlight for me. One of my favorite's is the Ice Cream Social stand. I am so excited for their brick and mortar shop to open sometime this month. Tacoma needs a delicious ice cream shop. Look forward to a peak into that sometime soon.

Lastly, who doesn't love throwing a cute dress or skirt on and heading out for a farmer's market morning?!

The lovely Alexis (of Stylelogical) wore a bright vintage maxi and cropped top, showing off an adorable little baby bump while I chose an easy Gap shift I got several years ago and Saltwater Sandals. Let there be bumps!

My sister wore a really cute Old Navy shirtdress (I recommend you all go out and find it, it's a great summer staple) with her JCrew Panama hat, for added summertime fun.

But the real farmers market accessory is the flowers! I love to take my straw tote to carry my purchases and blooms, of course.

If you're local to Tacoma, get out and support our farmer's markets.
